Ultimate Fights is a compilation of some of the best fight scenes ever filmed. And we're not just talking fist fights here. You'll get martial arts, bare knuckles boxing, gun fights, swordfights and even a cat fight. Scenes are included from such movies as Rumble In The Bronx, Blade, Gladiator, Scarface and Snatch just to name a few. You'll also be introduced to some movies from Hong Kong which you may not yet be familiar with, and you'll quickly find out why you should check them out.

Jackie Chan on Ultimate Fights DVDThe heart of the DVD is straight forward, it just jumps right in and picks the best fight scene in each represented movie and shows the complete fight. In most cases this is the final fight and the climax of the movie. So you get right to the good stuff without all of that pesky plot!

However, what really makes this a great DVD is the collection of extras, there's over 5 hours worth. You'll learn everything you ever wanted to know about the fights represented on the disc, the stars involved and how the scene was done. Our favorite part however is a featurette called "Behind the Punches". Master fight choreographer James Lew gives us a tutorial on how to stage fight scenes. This is extremely well done as he uses layman's terms and demonstrations that just about anyone should be able to fully understand.

We weren't really sure how to rate this DVD as it is very much a niche product. If you like the niche, you'll love the DVD. In this case if you're a big fan of action movies and particularly action movies, this disc belongs in your collection.

One catfight, but no one we care to see lose clothing.

A few amusing moments, but this is mostly just good old fashioned whoop ass.
