Blood and Boobs in Bloodrayne?
Nothing new will be hitting theaters this week, but the following Friday brings us Bloodrayne. Yes, it's a movie based on a videogame and yes, it looks pretty low budget. However, in a rare move for Hollywood it's actually rated R. In theory this means the movie will have the blood and boobies we so loved in the game, but who knows what we'll actually end up with.
On the downside the movie stars Ben Kingsley and while I do like him as an actor, putting him in a movie like Bloodrayne sounds like a marketing move to me. Then again, Patrick Stewart kicked ass in the X-Men movies.
As long as we get to see Kristanna Loken prancing around in red leather I'll be happy.

You guys ever heard of Uwe Boll?
He's hailed as the worst film director since Ed Wood, and for good reason. He directed House of the Dead and Alone in the Dark, some of the worst films this decade. The only reason he can keep making these craptacular flicks is the fact that the German government funds his movies when they flop in box office. Uwe Bolld directs BloodRayne. Seriously, gore and nudity can only do so much for a movie. I suggest checking out Hostel instead, it comes out the same day, and save BloodRayne for a DVD rental, where you can make fun of it with your buddies. You won't have to wait long for that, I guarantee.
So what you're saying is that I need to have a few stiff drinks before heading to the theater. :)
