Silent Hill on Friday

We've been waiting a while for this one, but Silent Hill finally hits theaters this Friday. Yeah, it's another movie based on a videogame but this has a couple of things going for it, budget and rating. It looks like Tri-Star spent some coin for the sets and effects at least, and Sony has certainly been spending a lot of cash on promotion. Course, it could be because they know it'll tank after the opening weekend so they want as large of a pop as possible.

At least it's rated R so they don't have to wimp out on the blood and gore. However, there doesn't appear to be any nudity in there.. that's a big minus.

Let's see.. what was the last movie based on a videogame that was rated R and had a ton of promotion. Mmmm.. oh yeah, Bloodrayne.
