DVD Quick Take

Even if you have a strong stomach you might not be able to watch this entire movie in one sitting.

Bob Guccione and Penthouse set out to produce what is essentially a high budget porn flick with an all star cast. No, you don’t get to see Peter O’Toole gettin jiggy with Helen Mirren, but you do get to see Malcolm McDowell, Teresa Ann Savoy and Helen Mirren in various states of undress. The “extras” in the movie are all good looking as you would expect from a Penthouse production, though the 70’s style personal grooming is rather amusing.

Let me be frank about the level of nudity and sex in this movie. Do you see total nudity? Yes. Do you see people having sex? Yes. Is it portrayed graphically? Yes. There are both male and female homosexual acts as well and this movie doesn’t leave anything to the imagination. Is it a turn on? Well, sometimes, but the mixture of sex, blood and violence from scene can be hard to watch and can really kill a mood.

I strongly suggest that you do not view this movie for the first time with a female present as it will likely turn her off for a month or two. View it yourself first, and consider yourself warned.
