These days before the lid clamps shut on the final reel of a movie as it leaves the theaters, the DVD is already on its way to the shelves. So is there any reason to go to the theater any more? Sure there is! But there's also good reason to check out the DVD later. Deleted scenes, blooper reels, "making of's", director's cuts, alternate endings, commentary, interviews and more are there for the viewing and sometimes it creates a whole new experience. That's why we get the DVDs in addition to going out to the theater.
