Video: Widescreen enhanced and a very good transfer to boot. The picture quality is very very good with no artifacts noticeable.

Audio: It's in mono. Dolby Digital 2.0 mono, but still mono.

Extras: There's a pretty good featurette about the movie itself that is certainly worth watching. Also a little bit of info on the locations the movie was filmed at. Directors commentary, trailer and production notes are also included.

DVD Quick Take

One of the best, if not the best high school based comedies ever put on film.

You remember these people from high school. The jocks, stoners, weenies, all the different click that are present in high schools around the world are right here in the movie. If this wasn't your high school, you might just wish it was.

The movie is holding its own even though its extremely dated at this point. Would you have guessed it was released in 1982!? Feeling a tad old now aren't you...

This film is worth owning if just to be able to relive a small part of history whenever the mood strikes. Remember the scene with Phoebe Cates getting out of the pool and removing her bikini top? Ahhh...
