One
of the funniest movies I have ever seen!
I'm certain everyone has seen this movie, so I'll skip the detailed
commentary.
To
sum it up quickly, boy meets girl in high school, falls in love
and plans to go to the prom with her. He didn't make ti though due
to a nasty accident in the bathroom...
Skip
ahead 13 years and we find they never did go out, and he's decided
to try and find her. After hiring a detective that turned out to
be a bad move, he strikes out on his own to find her.
Seems
he's not the only one who's fallen in love with Mary though, so
he's got to deal with other suitors who may not be as genuine as
they seem...
The
DVD has a great picture though it's not enhanced for widescreen
TV's which is a shame. The 5.1 soundtrack is clear, though I didn't
notice any real use of the surround channels. Regarding bonus materials
in this special edition, the box lists a music video, karoke and
outtakes. Well, the music video is the video you see during the
end credits, and the karoke is the same video with lyrics on screen.
The outtakes were quite funny, though I wish there were more of
them. It's basically a bit of behind the scenes footage set to music.
