Before you get alarmed, yes, this is a chick flick. However, it's a chick flick that guys can actually enjoy. Trust me... get this one to watch with your lady friend and you'll both be happy.

Mel Gibson is Nick Marshall, an advertising executive at the #3 ad firm in the country. Nick's speciality is advertising that appeals to the male mind, girls, skimpy clothes, and lots of sex. Hey, these are the ads we like! Unfortuantely, women don't tend to like the same types of ads and the firm is forced to bring in a new creative director to grab some of the female advertising market.

Enter Helen Hunt as Darcy McGuire, the "man eating bitch from hell". She knows what she wants, says what she thinks, and likes to get her way. The problem is that Nick thought he was getting the creative director job, so when an electrical mishap gives him the ability to read womens minds he immediately sets out to sabatoge her career.

This is a chick flick, remember? OK, so you've got to have already figured out that Nick falls in love with Darcy and feels bad for what he's done. Yada yada yada. What matters is that the movie is well acted, is pretty funny and will keep you entertained. Plus, your date will love it, and you should end up having a pretty good evening when the show is over...
