Hollow Man

This is not your ordinary Invisible Man movie. Hollow Man has some very unique twists on that theme, and some really incredible special effects. This is as close as you’ll likely ever get to see what peeling a human body layer by layer might look like.
Kevin Bacon plays Dr. Sebastian Caine, a man who is working on a formula to make human’s invisible. Actually he’s already figured that part out, the trick is getting them back to where they are visible again. Dr. Caine isn’t exactly a picture of mental stability to begin with, and you just know he has to try the formula on himself. That’s where things get interesting as people aren’t quite sure where he is at any given time and old Sebastian starts to get a little psychotic.
If you were invisible what would you do? That’s part of the fun of the premise of a story like this. Well, I think every red blooded guy would probably find out what every girl he’s ever fantasized about looks like naked. The character here only dabbles in that, and I would’ve really like to have seen them have a little more fun with that premise. Instead this movie basically turns into a booger movie with an invisible bad guy.
Hollow Man is also typical of a booger movie in that it’s inherently filled with logic flaws. However, if you check your IQ at the door and just sit back and enjoy the film, it is quite enjoyable.
Seen it? How many stars do you give it?
