Techno rockin music and trippy graphics. All you need is this DVD and your favorite mind altering substance and you’re set for a fun evening!

Male or Female is both a collection of music videos and an interactive experience. Let me explain. Like any DVD there’s a menu system, and from that you can choose any of the 16 videos to watch, or you can play them all. Works fine, this is the same passive mode that we use to watch any other DVD out there. But there is also an interactive mode where you can “control” your movements throughout the “city” using your DVD remotes navigation arrows. This is where your frustration level starts to go up, and your enjoyment will go down.

Navigation isn’t as straightforward as it should be, and the process gets very repetitive. You’ll end up seeing/hearing the same stuff a lot, and it gets old in a hurry. Interactive porn DVD’s are the same way, but that’s a different subject.

On the whole I really liked this DVD. The soundtrack is brilliantly mastered, really putting you into the mix through the use of the surround channels. The video is mesmerizing, you’ll find yourself just staring at the screen as you become absorbed by the sound and graphics. What more could you ask for?

I’d actually give this one 5 stars, but the interactive portion really turned me off. If you like techno music, this one is recommended. It also comes with a music CD so you can take the experience with you on the road. Just try not to get mesmerized in traffic.
