Features
Video:
Wide screen enhanced at 1.85:1. It looks good, but lots of
funky artsy type effects, so visual clarity isn't really an
issue.
Audio:
Both DD 5.1 and DTS are offered and both sound tracks will
really give all of your speakers and the subwoofer a major
league workout.
Extras:
In addition to the DVD you get an audio CD. Also includes
interviews and the ability to loop the show.

Imagine
a really long music video featuring techno music and Le Mans racing.
This is exactly what Speed Tribe is.
The
DVD features very artistic shots of the 2001 Le Mans 24 hour race
put to some very strong bass beats, sound effects and techno music.
The sound track is created by the producers of Front 242, Daniel
Brassanuti and Patrick Codenys.
If
you're into this style of music or racing, this is a killer DVD.
Even if you're not, this DVD could make a worthwhile addition to
your collection if you do not already have a good demo disc to show
off your A/V system's capabilities to your friends. The soundscape
is beautifully mastered and will test the limits of your speakers
if you crank it up. You can also set the entire program to loop
over and over and really drive your neighbors nuts.
We
give this DVD 3 stars, however we qualify that by saying we are
not fans of this genre of music or racing. We would love to see
someone do something similar with heavy metal and some Winston Cup
footage. You can find more details about this DVD at dance.com.

Gun Play
No
guns, just the occasional backfire.
Blood & Gore
Nope,
zip, nada...
Car Chases
It's
a race, they're all chasing each other.
T&A
The
Le Mans crowd seems pretty tame.
Chuckles
None
really, though some Europeans do dress funny. |
