Video:
Both widescreen and fullscreen versions are included with
the limited edition. The widescreen enhanced version is absolutely
stunning. The colors and contrast are excellent and the effects
come across just as well as they did at the theater.
Audio:
An outstanding Dolby Digital 5.1 track. You'll get a lot of
low frequence effects as well as surround effects without
being too obnoxious. The big scenes in this movie will really
show off your home theater's sound capabilities.
Extras:
The "limited edition" is a 2 disc set and absolutely
loaded with one of the best collections of extras you'll ever
see. You'll get the usual commentary, trailers, production
notes, photo galleries, etc. But the real fun is with some
of the special effects stuff where multi-angle is used for
animation studies, and even the ability to edit some scenes
yourself. If you like the creatures, you'll learn everything
there is to know about their creation.

Quick Take
This
is a DVD that belongs in everyone's collection. There are several
versions of Men In Black available on DVD, but we really like the
"Limited Edition" 2 disc set. Any true fan of the movie
will enjoy this as it has one of the best collections of extras
we've seen including lots of great interactive stuff. You can literally
spend hours with these DVDs even after the movie is over.
As
for the movie itself, surely you've seen it. But if not, this is
one of Will Smith's best efforts. He is recruited by the dead-pan
Tommy Lee Jones to be one of the Men In Black. This is a secret
organization that secretly monitors and polices alien activity on
earth. And you'd be surprised just how many aliens there are here!
The
DVD faithfully reproduces the big screen experience of this movie.
The picture is near perfect, and the soundtrack will really wake
up your home theater if you have invested in Dolby Digital.
This
2 disc set gets our highest recommendation. It belongs in everyone's
collection.
