DVD Quick Take
If you’ve never heard of Terminator and have no idea what it is about, then please immediately return to the galaxy which you came from. But in the interest of better human/alien relations this is about a Cyborg who travels back in time to destroy his enemy while it is still just a child.
The original Terminator was produced on a shoe string budget. By the time James Cameron made this sequel, he had a bit more money to play with, and as such this is a big budget sci-fi/action spectacular. There’s tons of crashes, gunshots and explosions all over the place. This movie also marked the debut of the “morphing” special effect that allows the T2000 to shapeshift.
All of the action and special effects have been wonderfully remastered onto DVD. The sounds are so clear and lifelike that you may want to turn the volume down a bit so the neighbors do not think there’s a shootout going on in your living room. This one is a must have for anyone who enjoys action movies.
Seen it? How many stars do you give it?
