The Bourne Supremacy

This is what Bond would be if you took away the silly gadgets and let him be a bad-ass, and I really like the results.
We join Jason Bourne 2 years after the events from the first movie, now living in Goa, India. Apparently he has nightmares and still doesn’t remember much of who he is and is always looking over his shoulder. Good thing too.
Events in Berlin have caused the CIA to suspect Bourne interfered in a mission of theirs, and they want to bring him in for questioning. Wasn’t the last thing he said that he would kill them if they tried to find him? I guess that didn’t make it into the official file. It doesn’t really matter anyway as his life in Goa has been disturbed and he blames them for it and is out to keep his word.
As with the first movie, giving away too many plot points would take away from the enjoyment of the film, so I’m going to keep my mouth shut about the plot. What I can tell you is that this is a GREAT movie, better than the first in every way. Matt Damon has embodied Jason Bourne, there is nobody who could do this role to the level that Damon has done. I hope the studio has gotten him into a very nice long term contract for these movies so we can look forward to many many sequels.
The Bourne Supremacy is a good old-fashioned action movie. Things blow up, we get a fantastic car chase and there’s no CGI involved (at least none that makes itself evident.) Even though there’s no real babe-factor in the movie, I’m giving it a full 5-star rating, it deserves no less.
Seen it? How many stars do you give it?
