The Whole Nine Yards

Don’t be fooled, this movie is a chick-flick at its heart, though you won’t actually mind all that much. Sure… it’s a romantic comedy which would normally send me screaming down the aisles in search of some popcorn, but this ones got Bruce Willis in it and some pretty decent nudity to boot.

The Whole Nine Yards

Actually the entire cast is close to perfect in their roles. Matthew Perry seems like he’s just playing his character from the television show Friends, only with a different name. Bruce Willis could do a role like this in his sleep, so his performance looks quite natural. Amanda Peet and Michael Duncan are also excellent in their roles. Everyone seems to be having a good time making this movie, and it shows.

For all this movie has going for it, I still can’t give it more than 3 stars. For starters, it’s a bit slow in parts. This isn’t a real serious problem but I did find myself looking at my watch a few times just to see how far along the story was. Secondly, sometimes it just tries too hard to be cute. I like a well timed fart as much as the next guy, but when it happens in this movie you just get the feeling that they are stretching a little too hard to make you smile.

Here’s the final verdict. If you’re looking for a movie to go to with your date, chose this one. She’ll be happy since it’s a romantic comedy, and you’ll be happy to be able to see Amanda topless. If you don’t have a date to take with you, then just wait for the video.

Seen it? How many stars do you give it?
