Theatrical Releases for Nov. 2nd

Just like how Christmas decorations in stores seem to go up earlier and earlier every year, ‘Holiday’ movie releases are creeping in earlier each year, too. To wit, the three major releases for today are being talked about as ‘Holiday’ movies even though we’re seeing them nearly 3 weeks before the Thanksgiving weekend, which means they’ll be on the way down the top 10 list well before you take your first bite of turkey.
First out of the gate is Bee Movie, the WAY over-hyped Jerry Seinfeld voiced animated movie from Dreamworks that is expected to pack theaters tightly its opening weekend. Next on the list is a movie that is more our speed: American Gangster. This multi- mega-star vehicle with Denzel Washington and Russell Crowe will have us in the theater this weekend for sure. Last up is some dreck called Martian Kid which stars John Cusack and has ‘chick flick’ stamped all over it.
